Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters exists as a no-cost partner to you, matching your child with a local, caring, adult mentor who will spend dedicated one-to-one time with them in the community or at school as a supportive friend.

Description
Elevate Cowley County offers a powerful combination of financial education and discussion about mental health topics, paired with long-term intentional relationships with community volunteers to help our participants as they rise up out of poverty. We meet weekly on Monday evenings at Grace Methodist Church with a meal and child care provided. There is an application process. Call or email for more information.

Foster Grandparents are senior volunteers who serve at various schools, Head Start Centers, daycares, faith-based groups, and other education-focused organizations. They support children who are facing challenges to school success by helping them learn to read, tutoring them, and providing general mentorship.
The Foster Grandparent Program is part of AmeriCorps along with RSVP and Senior Companion Program. Volunteers who meet income requirements may be eligible for a living stipend.
