Description
Federally Qualified Health Center in Wichita that provides primary care, mental health (include anger management classes) and substance abuse counseling. We accept private insurance, all three Medicaid MCO plans and Medicare as well as provide a sliding fee scale based on income and the number of household members for those without insurance. Our medical visits (primary care includes prenatal, pediatric, chronic disease management) include lab costs which make our appointments affordable for community members. We now have two Spanish Speaking Mental Health Counselors. We are open Monday-Saturday and take Walk-ins.

SHICK offers one-on-one, non-biased counseling and assistance to individuals and families either getting ready to sign up for Medicare, or those who already have Medicare. Volunteer counselors receive training on Medicare, Medicare Supplemental Insurance, Long-Term Care Insurance, and other health insurance issues that concern Kansans. SHICK counselors are not affiliated with the insurance industry. If you are new to Medicare or have questions about Medicare or Medicare related issues, SHICK counselors are available Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. for one-on-one appointments.
