Description
The SAFE Project improves the safety and employability of domestic violence and sexual assault survivors who meet certain financial criteria so they may achieve safety, independence, and economic self-sufficiency.

This program is able to assist individuals if past or current domestic violence or sexual assault is affecting their safety or ability to work for any of the following reasons: living in fear because someone is hurting or threatening you, risk danger if DCF pursues child support, are overwhelmed by current or past sexual or domestic violence and cannot work, or an intimate partner keeps you from work or training.

The SAFE Project focuses on safety, advocacy, finances, and employment. Safety provides safety planning, conflict resolution, and abuse education. Advocacy refers to medical and psycho-social services, responsible parenting, and healthy relationship education. The finance segment offers financial education such as budgeting, and employment assists with career and employment services.
