Emergency Housing

Catholic Charities’ Supportive Services for Veteran Families is honored to assist the men and women who served our country in the military by assisting low income veterans and their families who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness. We help veterans residing in a 25-county area of south central and southeastern Kansas.

Joseph's Storehouse is a thrift store that accepts donations of gently used clothing and household items. We also distribute The Emergency Food Assistance Program for low-income individuals and families and the Commodity Supplemental Food Program for seniors. Both programs allow participants to receive food or commodities every month. In addition, we also have our own food pantry for short term emergencies, as well as our Good Neighbor Fund that may be able to assist with rent, utilities, or other emergency expenses.
