The Rec Center located in downtown Arkansas City, Kansas and is open for general use, subject to event scheduling. Facilities available for use include basketball courts, meeting rooms, walking track, and Fitness Center. ACRC also manages the Family Aquatic Center, Paris Park Pool, C Dow Sports Complex, AC Skate Park, & Ark City Sports Complex.

The Rec Center also hosts events and activities for children and adults. Check the "Events" page for upcoming opportunities. Registration is required.

Seasonal free weekly drive-thru dinners and snacks for kids under 18. Usually available during school breaks (spring break, summer). Call to verify.

Joseph's Storehouse is a thrift store that accepts donations of gently used clothing and household items. We also distribute The Emergency Food Assistance Program for low-income individuals and families and the Commodity Supplemental Food Program for seniors. Both programs allow participants to receive food or commodities every month. In addition, we also have our own food pantry for short term emergencies, as well as our Good Neighbor Fund that may be able to assist with rent, utilities, or other emergency expenses. Must have current proof of address in Winfield, Rock, or Udall (a piece of mail from the last 30 days) and meet low-income requirements for assistance.
Clients can receive food once every 30 days, a maximum of 12 times per year.
Clients are provided with a variety of nonperishable items such as canned vegetables, pancake mix, spaghetti sauce, peanut butter, etc. as well as meat and bakery products while supplies last. Hygiene items such as toothbrushes and deodorant may also be available.
We may be closed on holidays or due to inclement weather. Call or check Facebook to verify.
